Al was a great friend for many years both inside and outside of work. He was always a comic, and we could never really figure out his thoughts. He was always joking but you could never tell when he was serious. If a outsider joined into conversation, Al would joke as if they were talking about you "saying, don't say nothing here he comes" (when the approaching person was always within ear shot).
