Dear Amy was my neighbor for many years, right across the street. Besides being family was very special. We had many great times together and I've missed not seeing her smiling face. Family meant a lot to her as for myself being cousins was extra special. Picture this, it is raining. They have taken the old mobile home off the lot next door to Amy's. This home used to be my parents, my Father had nurtured a plant and the men had almost killed it. i wanted to save it and went across with my shovel to do so. Amy came out of her house, our neighbor, Shirley, came by as well. Soon the three of us, broke the shovel, wrestled the plant out of the ground while saving it. Wet and dirty with mud, smiles on our faces and promises to my Father to take good care of his plant. If help needed to be offered, Amy was there. My Grandmother, Hazel M. (Bolles) Popps was one of Amy's favorite family members, her Dad's Sister. It was always enjoyable to hear all the lovely things Grandma Hazel did for Amy and her sisters on Saturday when she came to visit. She has lived a great long life, loving her children and all the rest.
She will always be in many happy memories for me and my family. She missed her dear husband so much and now she is with him. Rest in Peace dear Amy, love you lots.
