Amy Louise Nolan's Obituary
Amy Louise Nolan, age 71, passed away at her home on Monday, September 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 22, 1949 in Manistee, MI to Arlie and Shirley (Skimin) Krause. On April 22, 1972, she married Martin J. Nolan II in Muskegon and he survives her. Amy was a K-12 Teacher of Special Needs Children in the Kalkaska Public Schools System and retired in 2010 after 12 years with the Muskegon Public Schools. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was a faithful and participating member of parish ministries. Survivors include her husband, Martin J. Nolan II; 2 daughters, Ann (Robert) Roethlisberger, Nicole Granlund; 6 grandchildren, Kyle Granlund, Kurtis (Abby) Granlund, Erin Granlund, Atticus Roethlisberger, Jude Roethlisberger, Willow Roethlisberger; 1 brother, Douglas (Pam) Krause; 1 sister, Joanne (Arnold) Schmiedeknecht; and 2 brothers-in-law, Thomas Gaylord, Gregory “Skip” Gorman. She was preceded in death by her son, Martin J. Nolan III; her parents and 2 sisters, Valerie Gaylord and Janice Gorman. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, October 1, 2021 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church (1110 Dykstra Road). Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass.
