Andrew VanderKooi's Obituary
Mr. Andrew VanderKooi, age 83, passed away Monday afternoon, March 24, 2008 at his lake home in Walkerville. He was born March 24, 1925 to John and Johanna (Streeting) VanderKooi in Muskegon, and lived most of life there before moving to Walkerville in 1987. Mr. VanderKooi worked at Dresser Industries/Lift Tech for 40 years before retiring. On July 10, 1948 he married Arlene J. Flanery. SURVIVORS include his wife Arlene; 2 children, Darrell (Karen) VanderKooi of Grand Rapids, Susan (SFC Kevin) McCleary of Bitely; 4 grandchildren, Steven, Lisa, Pvt. David, and Samantha; 2 sisters, Ida VanderMolen, Lena Stott, both of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by a son David on February 1, 1967; 6 brothers, Clarence, Walt, John, Bill, Jim, and Neil; and 3 sisters, Mary, Hilda, and Jennie. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at
