Shelly, I was sorry to hear about Andy's passing. It is hard to imagine him not here as he always seemed to be so full of life. I too remember his charming (impish) smile and how quickly he caught on to things. He was always ready for a heated debate on most topics as long as he was on the opposite side you were on!! I would like to offer my sympathy and prayers to the Mattson family on the death of Andy. I remember meeting Andy when I served as the chaplain for the Muskegon Catholic Varsity Football team. His sin, Eric, was an outstanding member of that team and Andy was such a fan and faithful supporter of the team.
I will remember Andy at Mass this First Friday. May God grant him eternal rest and bring comfort to his family.
