Andy L. Mattson's Obituary
Mr. Andrew L. Mattson, age 52, passed away August 31, 2009 at Mercy Hospital. He was born on May 11, 1957 to Harry and Patricia (Gardner) Mattson in Muskegon. Andy has worked at Ermanco as a team leader for the past 31 years. He was a member of the Muskegon Vets Club and also the Sheet Metal Workers Union. In Andy’s free time he enjoyed the outdoors, playing golf, lawn games, fishing, and camp fires. On June 8, 1979 he married Shelley Wohlfard in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children, Phillip Mattson, Eric Mattson, and Mitchell Mattson; mother, Patricia Mattson, 1 brother, Samuel (Cheryl) Mattson, 3 sisters; Marsha (Dale) Allen, Barbara (Bill) Sternburgh, Kathy (Steve) Kauranen, Brittani Sunagel “daughter”; mother-in-law, Janet Wohlfard, 2 sisters-in-law, Sharon (Richard) Brillant, Sandra Lindsay, 1 brother-in-law, Scott (Lisa) Wohlfard; many nieces and nephews along with many of his great friends from work. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry and brother-in-law, Brian Lindsay, and father-in-law Arnold Wohlfard. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 1PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor Tom Beetham officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday. MEMORIALS to Orchard View Congregational Church would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
