I remember Aunt Anne meeting me at Sacred Heart after school and walking me to the house she and Aunt Mary and Aunt Velma resided. I remember watching her in the kitchen and playing games with her while waiting for my mom to pick me up and take me to doctors appointments. I have known Aunt Ann for 44 years. She has been a wonderful aunt to me. After Don and I were married, she would bring us home made breads, cookies items from the Farmer's Market and leftovers etc. She watched our kids at times when I needed someone. She loved to stop by garagc salse and find things we could use.
After she had to enter the nursing home, we would take her and her sister out for rides to the Lake, Color Tours as far as Manistee and out to dinner, especially on her birthday or Velma's. At christmastime, they loved to come to my house to make Masneitsa (Croatian nut bread).
