Anna M. Vokits' Obituary
Anna M. Vokits, age 91, died Sunday, July 17, 2011 in Norton Shores. She was born on January 13, 1920 in Muskegon Heights to Steve and Mary (Stefanits) Vokits, and resided in the area her entire life. Anna worked 31 years at Sealed Power before retiring in 1976. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and belonged to the Legion of Mary Auxiliary. Anna enjoyed bingo, cooking, and playing solitary on the computer. SURVIVORS include 1 sister, Velma Vokits of Muskegon; 2 brothers, John Vokits of Coopersville and William (Marylou) Vokits of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Anna was preceded in death by 1 sister, Mary Vokits; and 1 brother, Steve Vokits, Jr.; nephews, John and Andy; niece, Julia; and great grandniece, Emily. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. VISITATION with the family will be from 10:30-11AM Saturday at church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Muscular Dystrophy will be appreciated.
