Anne Hradsky's Obituary
Anne Hradsky, age 89, departed this earth for Heaven Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born November 21, 1921 in Muskegon to Stefan and Katherine (Chrencik) Hradsky, and had been a life resident of the area. Anne was a long time employee for Dana Printing. Anne, known as “Nene” to her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, was a life-long member of Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an avid bowler and previous Ladies Bowling Champion. She was an all-around sports enthusiast, cherishing her Detroit Tigers and Lions, along with all University of Michigan and Michigan State teams. SURVIVORS include her brother, Stephen Hradsky and sister, Allesha Thurkettle of Muskegon; brother-in-law Roger Knopf of Norton Shores; many special nieces and nephews among whom are niece Karen Knopf of Norton Shores and her children Sarah and Melissa; nephew Brad Knopf of Ferndale, his wife Leslie Maeder-Knopf and their children Madeleine and Sophia, and by special cousins William Kristofetz and Helen Bell. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Elizabeth “Betty” DeMuro and Mildred “Millie” Knopf. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 1PM Monday, March 14, 2011 at Dr. Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1860 E Hile Rd, with the Rev. Dennis Stroh officiating. Burial will be at the Norton Cemetery. VISITATION with Anne’s family will be one hour prior to the service. For a lasting memorial you are asked to consider Dr. Martin Luther Church.
