I grew up best friends with Rebecca "Becca". My grandma actually took Becca and I to Disney World when we were kids. My grandma called Becca her adopted grand daughter. I spent many days and nights at the Kelm household. Sunday bible studies, bringing in wood for the wood stove, playing school with Becca and Rachel in their actual school room. I remember eating many dinners with the Kelms and being of non Hispanic descent, I had a difficult time with spicy foods. So instead of making me feel like an outsider, they made me tortillas and hotdogs, or other "less spicy" foods. Some of the many memories I will cherish forever of Mr. Kelm arehim taking Becca and I to the archery range to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow, or outdoors teaching us survival skills and techniques for going "camping". Mr. Kelm was a firm believer that you were only actually camping when you were outdoors without electricity, or plumbing, in a tent... "Roughing It" not in a camper or at a camp ground with showers and electricity. A lot of my nature knowledge and bible knowledge came from him. My grandma was close friends with Mrs. Kelm. She enjoyed my friendship with Becca and her family about as much as I did. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a strong, smart, hardworking, and friendly person who will be missed.
