Arthur A. Homan's Obituary
Arthur A. Homan, 60, passed away very unexpectedly Monday morning, July 6, 2015 at his home. Art was born January 31, 1955 to Jack and Barbara (Routt) Garlock in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. He worked at Shape Corporation for 18 years and was the owner of Rocket Pocket Billiards in Muskegon. Art enjoyed bow hunting; his classic cars – a 1966 GTO and a 1966 LeMans; playing pool and he belonged to several pool leagues. On October 8, 1977 Art married Kathleen Farr and she survives him along with his father Jack Garlock; 1 brother, Jack (Ann) Garlock; 3 sisters, Linda (Leon) Brink, Loretta (Joe) Clevenger, Barbie Kolenic; in-laws, DeeDee (Matt) Somero, Deb Farr, Sherri (Doug) Brannam, Wes (Karen) Farr,and Keith (Kelly) Farr; many nieces and nephews. Art is also survived by his cat Tom. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Garlock, and a brother, Ricky Garlock. A service celebrating Art’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 11, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery.
