We started out as collegues, and very quickly became friends. Barb always made an effort to stay in touch wirh friends , so during summer vacation her pool was always open on Wednesdays . We would bring a snack to share and spend the day! Amyone who knew.her well knew about Ray and her kids because her family was so cherished by her. I offer them my deepest aymparhy because I know.how heavy your hearts are...and how much she will be missed!
I will always cherish my memories of visiting aunt Barbara. At her home on Seminole my sister, brother and I loved to slide down her carpeted stairs, swim in her pool and pet her huge Saint Bernard. Her and my mother would talk and laugh at the dining room table while drinking coffee. She would take us for walks in the woods behind her house to the "big sand dunes". We wanted so badly to run down those dunes but it was not allowed. Then as we got older we went to visit her and uncle Ray at their new house on Lake Michigan. She ran down those dunes with us! She was always so full of energy and had such a feisty personality. I will truly, truly miss her beyond words. RIP aunt Barbara. ❤️ Until we meet again.
Barb was a wonderful teaching partner! She was always willing to assist, suggest, and guide me as I started my teaching career. Barb truly loved working with kids, and I shall always remember her dedication, great laugh and tremendous sense of humor! She loved nature and was a great addition to the 6th grade Science Camp experience for students that occurred each school year. It was a pleasure to know her. - Todd Herbert
