I took care of Barb in her home, got to know her and her family . I will be forever grateful for the honor and opportunity of hearing stories about Barbs life and family . I know this … she loved and cherished all of her Children and Grandchildren. Rest in peace , Barb. Love , Mary
I started working at the Georgian Inn when I was 18 and Barb was 36. We just clicked right away and became friends. She was one of the best friends that anyone could hope for. She saw me through lots of ups and downs and was always there to lend an ear and Lots and lots of advice! What I admire most about Barb was how great of a Mother she was to Mike Bill and Anne. She would do anything for her kids and her friends. When we both lived in Richmond we talked weekly but we always had dinner together at least once a month. I would bring Chinese or Chicken and an Occasional Big Mac with a chocolate shake no whipped cream🤣And we would just sit and talk and laugh and sometimes cry together. When she moved to Spring Lake I told her how awesome I thought that was even though I was a little sad ( a lot) that all of our traditions were going to be different now. But I knew that was the best thing for her because it was getting harder for her to get around and she did not need to be alone. Mike and Jill made it a beautiful place for her and even put her favorite thing in for the winter and that was a fireplace. She loved having that going to keep her warm. At her Condo it would be so hot in there my face would be glossy from the heat and she would say San if it’s too hot you can turn it down but I’m freezing and I would say no that’s ok I’m good. After she moved we made a promise that we would talk every Monday Wednesday and Friday on my way to work every morning at 7:40 . I will miss our talks in the morning and hearing about the kids and all of them beautiful grandkids and now Great grandkids she was so proud of everyone. She always sent me great pictures of the babies and dogs and just everything she cherished:heart: I will miss you Barb and thanks for always being there for me and being such a great Friend! :heart::hibiscus:
