I am blessed and so fortunate to have had Mrs. Dehorn as my second grade teacher at Campbell Elementary. I have so many wonderful memories from that young age with Mrs. Dehorn and cherish them still today. Even through the years when I was in high school and then college, Mrs. Dehorn made an effort to stay in touch with me. I am sure this must have been a bit difficult, because I became a true Spartan at MSU!
A vivid memory I have from second grade is when Mrs. Dehorn had groups of us to her home for lunch during the school day. I highly doubt this is allowed anymore, but she did it with us then. She had us all sit around her kitchen table like adults. Most of all, I remember her bathroom - completely covered with Michigan wallpaper, towels, bathmats... I was so surprised! I'll never forget that bathroom... or how mature she helped us to become that year.
Thank you, Mrs. Dehorn, for being such an amazing teacher and mentor. I will never forget you or the lessons you taught me.
