Barbara W. Pipoly's Obituary
Ms. Barbara W. Pipoly, age 90, passed away Monday, May 26, 2008, at a local care facility. Barb was born January 23, 1918, in Chicago, IL to John J. “Jack” and Alice Marie (Meyers) Pipoly. The family moved to Muskegon 11 years later in 1929. Jack found work in the stockroom of Shaw Box Crane and Hoist and directed the Shaw Box Band during W.W. II and was also the leader of the Jack Pipoly Orchestra, which played a lot in Muskegon Heights. Jack passed away in December of 1964, followed by his wife, several years later. Barbara had a brother, Donald who passed away in 1959, and a sister, Leona (Louis) Keller, who passed away in 1990. Barb was a long-time member of Calvary Church. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Monday, June 9, 2008 at Calvary Church (5873 Kendra in Fruitport) with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating.
