Dear Theresa, Bruce, Alissa, Nathaniel, family and friends of Ben.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ben's sudden passing. I remember him well from my time as Pastor at St. Francis. I remember that he served Mass and was on the MCC football team when I was chaplain. While I remember him as being shy, he was a natural born leader and I knew that we would see more from him. I am grateful for the gift of his life and I ask God to comfort his family and friends. Through the mystery of all of this, may God help us to see his glory in Ben's life and be glad for all that he brought to others in his brief life. God grant him eternal rest and peace.

I was so sorry to hear that Ben had died. I remember so many times when he would enter my classroom with his cheerful demeanor. He was a force for goodness and kindness and caring. Ben will be very missed in my Barber Shop. I cut Ben’s hair for about three years. He always had good things to say. He was so positive and loved all sports. I complimented him on his great smile. That’s when he told me his father was a dentist. I said “No wonder your teeth look so good”!! You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
