I am the transportation person at McAuley and just wanted to share my deepest sympathy with Bertha's(Bea is how she told me she wanted to be addressed) family. When I think of B, I just get the biggest smile and just start chuckling. Bea made me laugh often, with her "just come and say how it is and never knowing what was going to be said next. I enjoyed taking her on walk's around the court yard and letting her water the flower pot near the spigot. Then she would get carried away and water the bench nearby and I stated, "Bea your getting it all wet and people won't be able to sit there" she replied with, "that's alright, they can sit over there and pointed to other bench nearby." I will miss our walks and hearing her big laugh (from the belly) and it always amazed me because she was just a tiny little gal.
Thank you Bea for bringing sunshine into my life.
