Bertha Cherry-Hart's Obituary
Mrs. Bertha B. (Cherry) Hart, age 92, passed away Friday morning, October 8, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born May 24, 1912 to Charlie and Dora (Osteen) Morrow in Nashville, Tennessee, and lived in the Muskegon area since 1941. She had owned and operated Cherry’s Mink Ranch for 30 years before retiring, and was a member of the Evanston Avenue Church of Christ. She was married to George Cherry who preceded her in death in 1953, Paschal Dean who preceded her in death in 1979, and Russell Hart who preceded her in death in 1992. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Howard (Emma) Wade of LaNore City, TN, James (Sylvia) Cherry of Atlanta, GA, Gerald (Gerri) Cherry of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren (1 deceased), several great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Paul (Martha) Morrow of Nashville; 1 sister, Ora Lee of Hendersonville, TN. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Wayne Cherry; 3 brothers, William, Bobby, and Otho Morrow; 1 sister, Josephine Morrow. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Evanston Avenue Church of Christ, with Mr. Wes. C. Cogburn officiating. Burial will take place at the Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, TN. Visitation at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 will be from 6-8 PM Monday. Share memories with the family at their On-line Guest Book at www.sytsemafh.com.
