Bette Ann Weersta's Obituary
Bette Ann Weerstra, age 83, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. She was born May 25, 1936 in Muskegon to Elmer and Hazel (Fischer) Balkema. On May 27, 1955, she married Jack D. Weerstra. Bette worked 26 years as a secretary for GVSU. Survivors include her son, David (Tammie) Weerstra; 4 grandchildren, Ryan (Lindsay) Buehlman, Amber Buehlman, Amanda Buehlman, Steven Buehlman; 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Weerstra; her son, Mike Weerstra; her parents and 2 brothers. Keeping with Bette’s wishes, there will be no services.
