Dear Mom,
I just wanted to tell you "I love you", which you already know from the previous million times or so that we have said it to each other, but I guess the most important time was on Tuesday when you had been resting most of the day and once more I came up to your bed, bent down and kissed your cheek and said "I love you Mom" and you turned your head, kissed me back and said "I love you too". I will cherish and remember that moment for the rest of my life. Tell Grandpa and Grandma HI and pass on a kiss for me. Oh, how I will miss YOU and your kisses.

Bettie: I have thought of you often over the many years since I was your babysitter and neighbor. We sort of kept track of each other even though we didn't see each other much. We just knew we were each out there and would re-connect from time to time. I was so sorry to hear that you were ill in the 2007 Christmas note that I got from Bob, but was glad to find out so that we could visit you and then visit Bob at your apartment. We certainly go back a long ways and I am so sad that you are gone. The many wonderful memories of you will live on and on, though & will be mine to treasure.

Dear Grandma & Great Grandma,
We love you and will miss you terribly. How we will laugh, smile & think of you every Christmas while we hang the ornaments you made for us every year on the Christmas tree or what ever else is available.(LOL) Andrew says he will always remember your hugs and the bright pink lipstick he would have to get washed off his face from your kisses. Megan will miss going out for breakfast/lunch with grandma, Aunt Nan and you. She still thinks that we can take a rocket-ship so that they/we can have lunch with you in heaven or that maybe the angels will bring you back for lunch. Megan is thinking Arby's.
We will miss your hugs, kisses & laughter, but never your heart because we take a piece of it with us.

My Dearest Grandma,
I will never forget the lessons you taught me. First if a girl must go shopping she need not have a plan, because the fun is in the hunt... Be it for clothes, shoes or jewelry because a girl can never have enough. The first rules of shopping were to have grandpa make us a big breakfast, then we'd shop, eat lunch, then shop some more. But of course we would have to end the day with dessert. If we had a really "hard day" (of shopping) grandpa would have to take you/us out to dinner because you were too tired to cook. I will remember playing dress up with you for hours on the bed and the jewelry tips you gave. How you would call me a brat if I sent you home in a game of Sorry. But what I really want to say is that you gave me enough love for 10 Grandma's not just 2. You will forever be my grandma "hunk-of-junk".
Be at peace my sweet Grandma, be at peace.

Grandma,

I will always smile remembering coming over around Christmas and trying to find each of our personal angel ornaments on the trees and jockeying to see who gets to lick the chip dip off of the beaters from the electric mixer. I also remember Caryn and I convincing you that it was required for us to watch the movie Grease before we could go to kindergarten. And in that memory...

Mom
Thank You for the many memories you brought to my life but especially thank you for your Daughter. Without her I would never of gotton to know such as fine Mother in law. You will be missed but as long as there are Christmas's you will never be forgotten in our family. Your Christmas Ornaments will live on and on and bring us many smiles. I will do my best to take care of Dad and your Daughters.
