Dear Kendall family, so sorry to hear about your loss. I don't know many of you, but I took care of Betty's lawn on Southern Avenue from about 1993-2001. At that time, I had a lawn care business, and Betty was my best customer! She was a joy to work with and I feel privileged that I got to know her during that time. From her, I learned to enjoy the simple things like window boxes, pink geraniums, having a nice lawn, and keeping the bird bath filled. After I would cut the lawn, and did several other jobs, we would always talk for a bit. She would tell me about her kids and grand kids and I felt like I knew each one. She was a special person and good friend and she never let me leave her house, after cutting the lawn, without giving me a can of pop! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ed Breitenbach
