Betty A. Kendall's Obituary
Mrs. Betty Ann Kendall, age 98, passed away Friday evening, August 5, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 11, 1917 in Grand Rapids, MI to Maurice E. and Martha M. (Tinkler) Davis; where she resided until moving to Muskegon, in 1937. Betty was a homemaker and a member of First Congregational Church. She especially loved her children and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. She also enjoyed her Bridge Club and volunteering for the Red Cross. On December 6, 1933 she married Oscar W. Kendall and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Nancy Kendall McNiff Morgenstern on June 1, 2016; and her brother, Judson Davis. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Robert (Mary) Kendall and David (Barbara) Kendall, of Norton Shores, 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St.; Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100). Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI. VISITATION with Betty’s family will be 10-11:00 AM Thursday, prior to the service. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider American Red Cross Senior Transportation.
