Bob and I would like to extend to the family our heartfelt sympathy for their loss. We have been neighbors for 28 years and during that time have developed a wonderful friendship with her. We enjoyed so very much her sense of humor: Bob took every opportunity to tease her and she was always quick-to-the-draw with a response--often getting one-up on him. Betty was a person of good common sense, which made for stimulating conversations especially regarding the more serious issues in life. We also admired her talents: music and words. Her expression through written words was exceptional. She wrote us at times with verse and poetry. We would read them several times, each time in awe of how wonderfully great her message in verse/poetry was. I personally enjoyed her fingers on the piano. When we first moved in our house and the weather was nice--windows open, etc., I would hear her playing (didn't really know her but I enjoyed music). Often I would be cleaning my house and the accompaniment was always invigorating. After getting to know her some, I expressed to her my enjoyment for her piano and the fineness of such. She would minimize all of that suggestion. After a fashion and I knew her better, I would call and tell her I was about to clean my room's closes to her house and would she please play. She was usually negative about her playing but I would coax her by telling her she needed the practice and the opportunity to take up some of her time and how much I enjoyed it. SHE WOULD PLAY AND I WOULD CLEAN LIKE A MENIACK. As years past and she hadn't played for a very long time, I thought I should ignite her (besides, I was ready to clean). I made my presentation and she negated me real good with all sorts of excuses. We ended conversation with my request obviously not going to be attended to. Short time later - - PIANO music. I finished my chores in happiness and called her. I told her we both were winners - - she got some exercise and challenge and I got my house cleaned with enjoyment. We laughed.
Just wanted to express to you folks a bit of our relationship with Betty. We truly appreciate having had her as a friend and neighbor. We know she is in a place where she can excel and share all her attributes and talents she possessed here.
We feel privileged having known Betty and value the times shared. We will miss her dearly. Blessings to all her family.
Sincerely,
Bob and Sharon Felcoski##imported-begin##Bob and Sharon Felcoski##imported-end##
