My condolences to the Kurant family. I remember your mom and dad well. May she RIP.
When Dr. David Amos was killed in a tragic airplane accident, I assumed his practice. It was natural for me to do so since Dr. Amos had hired me to join him. I was blessed to be supported by Dr. Amos' three employees. Bev was the receptionist and the "mother hen" of the other two, Deb Miesch and Ginny Farmer. Together they helped keep the practice intact, serving as the bond with the patients and assuring them they would continue to receive great care. Bev was steadfast, loyal, dedicated and wonderful to work with. She knew all the patients and could tell by the sounds of their voices how they were feeling and whether the call needed to be routed to the office nurse, Ginny Farmer, or if an appointment was all that was needed. She and her husband, Bob, became friends of my wife, Ginny, and me, and we kept in touch after I left the practice to join the leadership team at Mercy. They helped us understand the varied connections among the patients in my practice and shared their love of the Muskegon community. Both were beloved members of St. Francis de Sales, Elks and other local organizations. Ginny and I enjoyed sharing updaters about our respective families. I don't know how I would have fared without Bev's support and encouragement. I will always be grateful to her.
Our condolences and prayers to the Kurant family!
