Beverly Verhoven's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly V. Verhoven, age 84, passed away Tuesday evening, June 22, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born January 16, 1920 to Herbert and Anna (Zwicker) Johnson in Muskegon, and was a life resident. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, had belonged to the Happy Wanderer Trailer Club, and the McGraft Park Senior Citizens. On November 10, 1951 she married Anthony G. “Tony” Verhoven, and he preceded her in death on August 17, 1994. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Larry (Mary Gordon) Jensen of Daphne, Alabama, Terry (Carol) Jensen of Norton Shores, Frank (Sandra) Verhoven of Norton Shores; 8 grandchildren, Pam Jensen, Jeff (Ann) Jensen, Brad (Rachelle) Jensen, Greg Jensen, Scott (Lisa) Verhoven, Kelly Verhoven, Wade (Victoria) Gannaway, Ashley Gannaway; 5 great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Lauren, and Hunter, Hayden, and Ashton; 2 sisters, Marcella Tejchma of Norton Shores, June (Collin) Grabill of Grant, MI; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Orville Davis and Ellouise Hieftje; and a host of other friends. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 1, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, with Pastor Mark Zimmerman officiating. VISITATION with the family at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565 will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday evening.
