You don't know us or we you, but we had to write. You see, we lost a daughter in an accident 9 years ago this coming Friday. I know that the many cards and thoughts we received helped so much. Especially from people who had been through the same thing. Knowing that people can make it through something as awful as losing a child... there is nothing worse to go through. Our daughter was in a car with her friend and her friend turned left in front of another vehicle. Same as your situation. Our hearts and minds are with you as you go through the next several months... the old saying "time heals" is true although I still think of our Julie every day. I wish there were words to help you along but there really are none other than I'm sorry. Please know that so many people are thinking of you and praying for your comfort. If you ever need to talk or write, we are in the phonebook. Take care of yourselves and lean on each other and your family for help.

To the family,
I read of your loss and want to express my deepest sympathy. I was very much touched by comments made by family and friends. I can see that you all loved this young man so deeply. Life can be full of so many unexpected problems. And the worse of our problems is Death an enemy of life. Losing a loved one can be devastating, because we have a built-in desire to live and enjoy life with our family and friends. And when we lose our loved one, for what ever reasons we may believe, it is distressing, because we miss them very much. During these times it is especially important to draw close to God in prayer, for the Bible promises that “he himself will sustain you.”-Psalm 55:22
We also need encouragement and hope so that we can cope with our loss. For that reason, we can be encouraged by reflecting on the promises that God has given us thru his word the Bible, concerning the resurrection hope of seeing our loved ones again. I hope that you find comfort in reading these scriptures. John 11:11-44, John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:3, 4. May you all endure this pain and know that “the God of all comfort.” (2 Corinthians 1:3) is there for you. My prayers are with your family.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family. The loss of a young peron is a terrible trauma, it leaves a permanent gap in the lives of the parents. You have my deepest sympathy. I was a fellow classmate, and a friend to your son, he was an AMAZING person and it saddens me to say that our Senior year was the first year that we became good friends. I have yet to understand why God took someone so young, and someone so great too, and I'm afraid that i might not ever understand it i just have to realize that he is in a better place now, and while that may take a while, and a lot of crying, i will someday. I hate the fact that Brent was only in my life for a short time, but i know that it was Gods plan, Brent has touched my life in many ways and i will never, ever forget him, your little Brent is up in Heaven now, and he is watching over you while God is watching over him until you meet again. God Bless you and may God keep you safe. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your little Brent with us, even if it was only for a while.

I am saddened to learn of the death of your son. I learned of his death from my niece, Durell Cinko. Please know of my prayers for you and your family and of course for my wonderful niece Naomi

Brent. Of all the people this could happen to, you were the last I would've expected. You were the kindest person I knew, and you surely had a bright and powerful future ahead of you. To hear now that your strength, intelligence, and integrity will never again be realized still shocks me into submission. In my heart, you will only be MIA, because, as I'm sure you know, SPARTANs never die. They live forever, as you will in the hearts and minds of those who were lucky enough to have known you. Brent was a wonderful, talented, and caring young man.
