Brent Alan Thies, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Brent Alan Thies, Jr., age 18, died as the result of injuries he sustained in a car accident on Friday, August 10, 2007. He was born May 17, 1989 in Muskegon to Brent and Lori (DeNio) Thies and lived in the area his entire life. He graduated last year with honors from Oakridge High School and had planned to begin classes at Muskegon Community College. He was currently working as a cook for Mr. Scrib’s Pizza. He was an active member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. SURVIVORS include his parents, Brent and Lori Thies; 3 brothers, Charles (Jennifer) Passenier, Jr., Timothy (fiancée, Lisa Miller) Girven, Jr., Wesley (Nichole) Girven; maternal grandfather, Paul DeNio, Sr.; paternal grandparents, James Thies and Carol Stiles; 4 nieces and nephews, Camron Passenier, Tyson Passenier, Emma Passenier, and Gage Girven; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, April Passenier and his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline DeNio. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor John Frank officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Egelston Township Cemetery. VISITATION with Brent’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210.
