So sorry to hear about Uncle Carl's passing but he sure lived a full life. Don and I had gone to Uncle Carl and Aunt Jen's home and what an inspiration he was! He had to be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Uncle Carl and Aunt Jen had come to our home about five years ago and he was still quite agile. To be 98 yrs. and to have lived his life to the fullest has to be a realll milestone. Don used to like to hear Uncle Carl play his harmonica when his dad and Uncle Carl got together. When he and Aunt Jen came to mom's funeral about 3 yrs. ago they were still doing good. We hope that all of the memories will help to make his passing easier...

This was a story done on My Grandparents when they celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary. November 30th of this year would have been number 80.
I will miss him dearly. Right up to the last days of his life he was still making my son and I laugh with his wit and countless stories. I found out pretty young there was no such thing as a left handed hammer or a board stretcher.
