Dad, you are loved by so many, missed by so many and the ONLY DAD to me :) Keep cracking your horrible jokes, giving people grief, and handing out the dollars :) I have heard you say more than once lately, "You dont have to make a production out of it!!" Your Dad / Grandpa was a wonderful, caring, and talented person. He loved helping out and was a skilled woodworker. I always treasured the beautiful bookshelf he built for my classroom. He didn't make a big deal out of it. He just came to my class one day to figure out how big of a bookshelf I wanted, and the next thing I knew, he returned with the whole thing finished. What a guy!

Definitely my favorite of all the sales folks in the Chronicle family. A great eye for layout and flow. He knew how he wanted things and he knew how to articulate what he wanted.
It made my job much easier. I was fortunate, due to his involvement with scouting, to stay in contact with him since our Chronicle days.
I have known Carl my whole life. Always so kind. Always had a great joke and quick wit. Loved his smile and laugh. A tall, towering figure who has always meant a lot to me. A very special man who will always be missed. God Bless. Amy Holcomb
