Carl W. Stolberg's Obituary
Mr. Carl W. Stolberg, age 65, died in peace Saturday evening, April 28, 2007 at his home with his family and close friends by his side. He was born on December 23, 1941 in Muskegon to Carl and Jessie (Holmes) Stolberg. He was a GREATMASTER and pioneer in the martial arts, a 9th degree blackbelt in the Korean Martial Arts of Kang Duk Won TaeKwonDo. He dedicated his life to martial arts and had been both a teacher and mentor to numerous students in the Muskegon area for over 40 years. Over the years he had many students who won awards and championships in the state, national and international competitions. Mr. Stolberg was the recipient of numerous awards and citations which recognize his contributions as a pioneer in martial arts. He will be sadly missed by his 2 sons, Carl (Debra) Stolberg and Jason Stolberg; 4 grandchildren, Jessie, Alisha, Jacob and Kaley; 1 brother, Don Stolberg; 3 sisters, Betty Hvizdas, Rose (Bill) Maginity and Janice (Dick) Israel and 1 sister-in-law, Bonnie Woodruff. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Jay Woodruff; 1 sister, Barbara Peters and her husband Robert; and 1 sister-in-law, Donna Stolberg. SERVICES will be 1PM Thursday at
