Carly is an amazing person inside and out. She loved her family, friends and plants. She gave the best hugs. She will be missed by so very many people.

Me and Carly were friends for 10 years. We met online, then in person, and kept up with each other through moves and jobs and all kinds of things. I feel really lucky that I had her. Sometimes we'd talk every day for months and then sometimes only here and there. Right now we were in a "here and there" period, but we still checked in with each other, but of course now I wish I'd have checked in more.
You could tell Carly absolutely anything and she'd never judge you. She was feisty and tough, but also extremely kind.
When I lived in Hawaii and I was homesick for Georgia, Carly sent me an envelope full of red Georgia clay. Who does that kind of thing for someone? Carly.
Her sense of humor was amazing. She loved her children so fiercely. She was the kind of friend who would go to bat for you, no questions asked,. would drop everything if you needed her. She was so smart and funny and silly and beautiful. She was such a presence that I'm having a really hard time understanding that she's not here anymore. I feel really lucky to have been her friend.
