Carmen Louise Goudie's Obituary
Mrs. Carmen Louise Goudie, age 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2019, two years to the day after her husband, George. Carmen was born in Muskegon on August 22, 1925 to John and Edmere (Allard) Williams and was a life-long resident of the area. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School and had worked at Continental Motors prior to raising her family. On Valentine’s Day 1946, Carmen married George Goudie at St. Mary’s Church. She took pride in raising her five children and enjoyed cooking and cleaning. One of Carmen’s greatest joys was spending time with her family, and for many decades she enjoyed square dancing with George. Carmen was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, George (Christine) Goudie, Jim (Sharon) Goudie and John (Lori) Goudie; twin daughters, Pat (Tom) Arnote and Pam (Larry) LeBeau; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, George; her parents; two brothers, Jack and Robert Williams; and one sister, Lorraine Hoos. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken, Muskegon 49441) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding.
