Carol and I were in a training class at Whirlpool back in the mid '90s. She used to be amazed or pretended very well, that she really liked my cooking. I used to bake desserts and take them into the training class for everyone to enjoy. I remember how much we got along and enjoyed each other as we work together throughout the years. I'm also very glad that Carol got to know and became friends with my wife, Vonnie.
I remember some of the good times we shared outside of work. But one fond memory recently was when we went to a Bon Jovi concert together. It was in the movie theater and was during the pandemic. So it wasn't a full concert experience. But nonetheless she could tell her family, grandkids and all, that she was going to a Bon Jovi concert that night.
I remember her sweet demeanor and joking nature. We took her out for dinner shortly after Nick died. She seems surprised that we wanted to treat her.
To me Carol was a wonderful and kind soul. I will miss that.
So Carol, if you're looking down on this poor soul, know that you left a mark on my heart that I will never forget. Goodbye, I love and miss you.
