Carol Ann Gangwer (Scott)'s Obituary
Carol Ann Gangwer (Scott), age 72, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1938 to Floyd and Clara Gangwer. Carol lived all her life in the Muskegon area. After graduating from Muskegon High School, she dedicated her life to her 5 children: Rick (Jodi), Ryan (Linda), Kendal, Ross, and Rodger (Teresa); her grandchildren: Keith (Beth), Heather (Jeff), Richard (Kara), Christine, Rustin (Jamie), Nick (Jen), Ashley, David (Tiffany), Quinton, Rodger, Allison, and Natalynne; her 16 great grandchildren; and her loyal feline companion Daisy. Carol also leaves behind brothers: Clarence “Charlie” and Ellsworth “Bud” (Mary) Gangwer; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special lifelong friend, Rochelle Cronk; and two daughter like friends, Patti and Mindy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jack and Tom. Carol worked at Lakos Restaurant for many years creating lifelong friendships with “The Lakos’ Girls”. She also worked at Hackley Hospital, and VNS. Carol was adventurous and fun loving, which was evident when she was drag racing her Camaro and riding motorcycles with her family. Carol was always making others laugh and smile! Her inspiration to others to have fun was ageless. She enjoyed family gatherings, gardening, interior design, crafts, and painting (watercolor). Carol was always thinking of others and making them feel important and loved. She will be missed dearly. To Celebrate Carol’s life, her Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday at
