So sad. Don't know what to say I can't imagine what you're going through but we're all thinking of and the kids.
Paula, Brandon & Brandi, i am so sorry to hear of Chuch's passing. I only met Chuck a little over 3 years ago when I was invited to hunt on his property near New Era. He had a personality that naturally attracted friends. I enjoyed the time spent on his piece of heaven in the woods helping set up new blinds & such. When my son shot a buck with his bow last November, Chuck sent trail camera pictures of both the deer & my son retrieving it. I think he was as excited as we were.
I had breakfast with him in early January. The next day he texted that he was going to the hospital because he got burned after falling asleep in front of the
heater. Although our friendship was short-lived, i will miss him.
May the Lord grant you peace.
I was lucky enough to create so many memories over 35 years with Chuck. When I started dating Donnie, Chuck came as part of the package. If anyone knew Chuck and Donnie they were always together. Chuck was Donnie’s best man. In our wedding and Chuck was what I would consider more like a brother than a friend.
Then it became me, Donnie, Chuck and Paula. A trip to Cancun riding jet ski’s, Paula was driving and let’s just say is that didn’t go well. Chuck got sea sick puked on Paula. We would spend every 4th of July at our condo in N. Myrtle Beach. Chuck would bake in the sun until he looked like a lobster and go back the next day and burn some more.
Let’s talking about hunting, Chuck shot a buck with his crossbow and boy did we have some tracking to do. We tracked the buck through acres of briars where we found the buck and some how it happened to die, Chuck shot it in the front leg.
From Pub peddles to SxS runs we always could count on Chuck to go. Donnie would organize the runs and Chuck was in charge of mapping the rides. Our last ride with Chuck was this past June our group went to the UP we stayed at a rustic campground in Germfask and rode over 330 miles in 2 1/2 days.
I always imagined our group growing old and spending our retirement years vacationing together.
Thankful for all the memories love and miss you!
Dad,
I’m going to miss all of the times I’d sing in the car and you’d spontaneously go “OH,” like you were adding flare to my music or when you’d see a slug bug and say “Blue slug bug can’t slug back.” I’m going to miss spending time with you at the cabin and taking mini adventures into Ludington, Pentwater, or just down the road to Country Dairy where we’d get ice cream and sing “Bitch I’m a Cow,” and you’d always go “MOOOOO.” I will miss going to karaoke with you and miss seeing your face light up as I sing. Most of all, I am going to miss having my goofy father around to watch me keep growing. I love you, Buttface, thank you for fighting so hard.
Until we meet again
