Charles E. "Chuck" Gue's Obituary
Charles E. “Chuck” Gue, age 59, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was born June 5, 1966, in Manistee, MI, to Douglas and Lois (Holy) Gue. Chuck graduated from Oakridge High School in 1985 and furthered his education at Ferris State University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a minor in Insurance. On June 12, 1998, he married Pauline M. “Paula” Strother in Muskegon, who survives him. Chuck worked for Herman Miller for 30 years. He loved spending time at and working on the family cabin in New Era, Michigan, and never missed a chance to stop for breakfast at his favorite spot in Shelby, Deb’s Café. As an avid outdoorsman, Chuck found true joy in the woods. He enjoyed deer, turkey, and bear hunting and riding ATVs with friends. These were passions that brought peace, purpose, and countless cherished memories. Chuck was deeply involved in his children’s lives and took great joy in watching them participate in sports. Above all, he cherished time spent with his pride and joy, his grandson, Caden. Chuck will be missed by all who knew him. SURVIVORS include his wife, Paula; two children, Brandan (Sarah) Gue and Brandi Gue; his pride and joy, grandson Caden Gue; brother, Terry Gue; sister, Debra Midkiff; mother-in-law, Patricia Strother; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Karman Beeman and Betty Hostetler. Private services for Chuck will be held later. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
