I have been living in Florida since 1986, but in 2015 I went to a funeral service in Fruitport that was held outdoors and my neighbor next door I grew up with Gary Sabo was giving a little speech at the service and I scanned the audience attending the service and I told a person ! I cannot believe that I do not see anyone here from my class of 1973 at Spring Lake ? The reply was ....... Well, someone is directly in front of you that you must know ? That person was Chuck LaFrance and it was so good to see him ! He told me that I was in better shape than him, and I responded, why do you say that ? He looked pretty good to me, but just without all the long curly hair he had in high school ! Little did I know he would not live much longer ! Even Gary Sabo has also passed away ! I am so glad to have seen them both and how precious life is and appreciate especially your friends and family as you never know how long we can enjoy their company ! I am grateful that Chuck L. had a wife who truly was a loving Gem and am sorry to all the family for their loss. I was encouraged to see so many that expressed empathy and truly loved Chuck !
