Charles C. Meyers' Obituary
Charles C. Meyers, age 85, passed away on April 1, 2019 after complications from a fall. He was born on November 17, 1933 to John and Dera (Cooper) Meyers in Kansas City, MO. Charlie served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Charlie founded The Station Grill in 1972 and operated it for 30+ years in Roosevelt Park. He held several offices for Roosevelt Park City Council, City Planning Commission, Downtown Development Authority and served on the board at the Muskegon Yacht Club. When Charlie wasn’t working at the restaurant or sailing, he enjoyed downhill skiing, scuba diving, yoga, teaching yoga and reading. On February 14, 1994, he married Linda Priebe and she survives him along with his children, Christopher (Kelly) Meyers of Spring Lake and Scott (Stacie) Meyers of Norton Shores; 4 grandchildren; Kendall, CJ, Hunter and Cole and sister, Jeanne Mooberry. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Meyers. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE and Military Rites will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Muskegon Rotary Foundation. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery.
