Dear Polly and family, I just heard of Chuck's passing through the family grapevine.
I will always remember my cousin(?) Chuck who was so tall. I remember him when I was a small girl living in Detroit and he came to see my Grandma Rose Wozniak. The last I saw you both was in 1949 when my folks, sister and I visited Muskegon. I was going on 11. My big regret is not knowing all of you more. May you have God's peace in this trying time. My sincerest condolances on your loss of Chuck. I do have many fine memories of his deep singing voice at mass in the past. I just got back in town last night and read the obituaries and would have liked to have attended the rosary and the funeral and spoken to you at that time. Dear Polly and Family,
We are so sorry about the loss of Chuck. Five o'clock will just not be the same without him. He was such a gentle, Spirit-filled presence in our midst. Dave and I always enjoyed hearing his bass (baritone?) voice when we could hear it. My classes had been praying for him for several weeks and were saddened by the news, too.
