So sorry to hear of ol Charlie's passing . .. so many memories of him . .sittin listening to his dad Homer a pickin on his upside down guitar and his mom singin along. . Charlies music his huge record collection. . .The hard worker he was. . . all his bingo and lottery games . . . and he sure did WIN! . . he used to call just to tease my wife kay about how much he had won. . . we moved about 4 years ago and lost track of the ol boy. ..
and all the time we spent with him . .we never got a picture of him. . so I hope maybe some will some get posted here soon . . .. and many times in later years we spoke about his church, his faith in GOD and the scriptures. I really regret that I didn't get back to Charlie after i moved . . and I'll bet he called my old phone number many times. . . but I guess that is a lesson for all of us . . . to not take for granted our relationships because we will not always have them . . . at least not in this life . . myself I will soon be 66 so probably not that awful before i will also join Charlie in "That Place " where we can once again be together singin again . . . I went looking for the name "Charlie Weaver" online and of course found several from Docs to Lawyers to TV actors but the first one I found was found this one from a musician named "Charlie weaver" from just north us here in michigan who has a song that is quite related to where our Charlie is now and I just know our old Charlie would have just loved it . ..
please give it a listen . .
