Charles Bruce "Charlie" Weaver's Obituary
Mr. Charles Bruce “Charlie” Weaver, age 63, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Hackley Hospital. He was born September 21, 1947 in Muskegon to Homer and Etta (Tjapkes) Weaver. He worked as a self-employed disc-jockey. He enjoyed bingo and played softball once pitching a “no hitter” game of which he was very proud. He won numerous trophies for playing pool and enjoyed bowling. Charlie was affiliated with Forest Park Covenant Church. SURVIVORS include his brother, Richard (DeAnne) Weaver of Salt Lake City, UT; 3 sisters, Donna (Paul) Goode of Muskegon, Pauletta (Randall) Fortier of Muskegon, Irene (Richard) Hand of Minneapolis, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Larry Weaver and 1 nephew, Robert Weaver. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Forest Park Covenant Church with Pastor Wally Coots officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Wednesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Thursday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
