Dan and I were saddened to read the news of Charles's death. You were special neighbors of ours in Napoleon. We have now been living in Antwerp, Ohio for 23 years. We fondly remember the days of living in Napoleon by such caring and thoughtful neighbors. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Please except my condolences at the passing of your loved one. "Charlie", as he was affectionately known to some of us fellow musicians was an encouragement to me when I followed him as band director at Hamler HS in august of 1965-67.
He was a legend in his time , a great teacher and musician. I counted him as a friend.
I taught for 22 years myself and have since been involved in my own Piano business
(16 years) and for the past 8 years involved in church music ministry.

Just heard today that Mr. Wilson passed away. I have such fond memories of him and enjoyed meeting Charles and Florence a few years ago when I helped Mrs. Wilson learn her new computer. He was such a smart and caring man. I've missed seeing him and am sad to year that he is gone. However, I'm glad to know he is with His Lord. I can picture him and Jesus talking about the world issues and looking after his loved ones still here on earth.
Mrs. Wilson, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! I'm so glad you have years of wonderful memories to hold on to. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Mrs. Wilson and Family,
We send our condolences on the loss of your husband and father. We were band students of Mr. Wilson's at Malinta-Grelton and have such great memories of him and respected him so much. Back when the band was formed in 1961 he worked so hard with the band boosters to make the band program a success. We especially remember the dignity he brought to his work and his love of music. He always looked so splendid in his uniform as he marched along side his band.
I remember the excitement of the community during the months while we prepared for parades. As we marched through the town practicing our music, neighbors would come out in front of their homes to cheer us on. He gave is such a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Bob and I are now both retired after 30 years in education. I was a music teacher at Patrick Henry Local Schools (Malinta and Hamler), so you see he influenced me greatly.
His memory will always live on!
