Our sympathies for the loss of your father. Cathy and I knew you were very close to him and we are sure it hit you and your family pretty hard.
Cathy and I were talking about Bill the other day and the time he invited us to his beautiful home for dinner and drinks. What a class guy. He showed us a grand time.
I also remember when I was a young pup at Howmet in Sales and met your Dad at General Electric. He was visiting there as the V.P. Of Sales for Johnson Technology. Remember how when you were an eighth grader and you looked up to the seniors? They were so cool, so big, smart, and so in touch with things. That's the feeling I got meeting your Dad and every time thereafter when I would often see him at industry events. He was an absolute class act. He had those steely brown eye that made you know when he was serious, and that grand smile and classy white hair and mustache after the day's work was done.
I will miss him. He was and will continue to be an inspiration for me for the rest of my life. You should always be proud of having such a cool Dad. Man, was he ever...

Aunt Rita, Brian, David, and Laurie,
Uncle Bill was, without a doubt, a major influence in my life. He got me the job at Johnson Technology where I not only made enough money to pay for college but also where I met my wife Cheryl. He was an inspiration to me because he was a WWII veteran, a college graduate, a lunch buddy and a wonderful uncle. I can never forget all the lunches with him at Grandpa Art’s house during my college days and the coffees with him and his brothers at Meijer’s when I came home in the summers. He was always interested in how my family and I were doing and how business was at Boeing. I loved how he would call his dad Grandpa and my dad would call him Charlie. Cheryl and I will miss Uncle Bill deeply. Uncle Bill truly loved family. I was really glad to hear the family spent some time together in the islands recently.
