Charlotte L. Lubbers' Obituary
Charlotte L. Lubbers, age 79, passed away Friday evening, January 24, 2014 at Hackley Hospital. She was born February 9, 1934 in Fremont to George and Sena (Freye) Rottman and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1956. Char was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church and of its Lydia Guild. She also was very faithful with her “card” ministry and enjoyed gardening. On February 17, 1956 she married Donald Lubbers and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Julius “Jupe”, Herb and Stuart Rottman and by her sisters, Katie Boeskool and Gloria Beeler. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dale (Laurie) Lubbers and Doug (Lori) Lubbers of Muskegon and Carol (Michael) Dickey of Twin Lake; 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Gregory, Adam (Elizabeth Walcott), Jacob, Zachary, Travis and Austin; 1 brother, Leonard (Laura Jean) Rottman of Fremont; and sisters-in-law, Theresa and Jackie Rottman of Fremont, Tressa Lubbers of Muskegon, Doris Rottman of Fremont; 1 brother-in-law, Carl Beeler of Fremont; several nieces and nephews and by special friends, Anita Ward and Lois Klinger. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444(231-798-1100) with the Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may meet the family 2-4 & 6-8PM Wednesday. For a more lasting memorial you are asked to consider VNS Visiting Nurses or Harbor Hospice.
