There are not enough words in the vocabulary to explain the Gem of a human being Cheryl really was. Always a smile on her face, always a positive outlook on life, always had a hug, always a caring, loving person. Although I didn’t see her much, it always made my day when I did. She made this world a better place. If people were a 10th of the person Cheryl was just imagine, what a great world this would be. I loved her so much and will miss her dearly. To her family, please know you are in my daily thoughts and prayers. Cheryl will be deeply missed by us all but never, ever forgotten. ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Where to begin. . . . I met Cheryl through Sue (my cousin). So many memories from Summer Celebrations, Shipshewana, lake Nichols, and so many more. Cheryl came out to California a couple times even for my wedding. We met in Las Vegas several times too. There was always laughter and fun when Cheryl was involved! After Sue passed, Cheryl always wrote something on facebook to celebrate Sue on her birthday and passing. Cheryl always knew just what to say and how to say it. I would sit like I am now not knowing what to say or how to say it, but Cheryl knew. A couple of memories that will go down in history are Vegas related. I know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but these must be shared. One is us going to Hash House with Megan and Non. Non said she wasn't going to order the pasta because she saw the bowls coming from the kitchen and it was way too much food. Non said she was going to order the pork sandwich as she thought she could eat a small pork sandwich. When the sandwich came out it was huge and Cheryl started laughing so hard she spit her drink. The whole place was focused on us laughing. Another was Cheryl crossing the street in Vegas but not waiting for the light so she got stuck in the center divider and started directing traffic. Cheryl you will be so missed!!!!

We weren't wild and crazy women when Cheryl, Sue Keglovitz, Tina Vanderwall, Heather Luker and myself got tattoos together a decade or so ago! Just normal work buddies with a special bonding moment! Love you, and thank you for sharing your special outlook on life with us, Cheryl!

in honor of Cheryl.

She was my son Kasey's teacher. She really cared for him, I called her his school mom..she gave him that extra push he needed to succeed. She even came to his graduation & it meant so much. She would always go that extra mile for her school family. I will forever remember her for that & her love of smiley faces. Rest easy Cheryl, you will be missed for sure.

There are so many words that describe how she is, she wasn't just a principal that made sure everyone was going in the right direction, but she was also a friend, the countless times that I wasn't doing great from stuff outside of school she was always there to make sure I was okay, and even after graduation, the times I would see her and it was just nothing but warmth and happiness, she will always be a principal, teacher, leader, but most importantly a friend.

Once you met Cheryl you became a friend for life. I never saw her without a smile on her face. She loved deeply esp her kids husband and grandkids. Over the years we have watched the grandkids grow up. She loved traditions like scribbs at Christmas. I like everyone else will miss her.

Her love for life and family was so amazing. She had a huge expanded family she loved. She cared for all her students and she let them know they were special.
When she heard she was going to be a grandma every one knew it because she was over the moon with excitement and that excitement was there for all her grandkids.
I am privileged to have known her.🙏 🙏🙏
