Chris was a dear friend throughout high school and I cherish the memories that we shared. Our parents were friends as well. Carl and Jean Huizenga were wonderful people who shared much laughter with us. Chris and I enjoyed our time at Samuel Lutheran Church and in the Muskegon High School Madrigalians. Chris had a true alto voice like no other. Christ was truly a kind and loving friend. May her family know their wife and mother was a very special person.

Carl & Jean Huizenga were great friends of my parents, Bud & Lucille Meier. Therefore, it was no surprise when I was to attend my senior year Christmas dance, Jean and Christine offered the burgundy velvet gown Chris had worn earlier for her own special event. It was beautiful, and reflected the giving spirit of the Huizenga family. Condolences to Bob (the boy almost-next-door whom she married); their offspring; and to Ann, Bob and Steve Huizenga.

I knew Christine since Muskegon high school where we graduated together. Also saw her many times at Radiology and Hackley Hospital, through the years. Always admired her upbeat personality!
So very sorry for the family. Sending my condolences. Now she is at peace and may you also rest knowing she is surrounded by angels who are giving her everlasting comfort.
