I just wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to Clara's family. As Activity Director of Christian Care, I have the best job in the world. It is here that I have the great honor and privilege of serving my favorite people in the world-senior citizens. And it was here that I was fortunate enough to befriend Clara Grinwis and have her as part of my extended family. Clara lived a very long, good and adventurous life...98 years is a very long time. I will always cherish the stories that Clara and her family told me about her life. They include camping trips-especially to Carp Lake, bridge walks, canoeing, roller skating, heading the sympathy commity at Unity Reformed church for many many years and how she managed to twist her knee cap off at least 6-7 times! And from what I hear, Clara was involved in these endeavors-always in high heels! Clara was a woman after my own heart because I also love to camp and walk the Mackinac Bridge. There is never a time I pass by Carp Lake and don't think of Clara Grinwis and all of the fun times she must have had. It was a pleasure having Clara involved in all of the Christian Care adventures as well...from parties to outings to church and devotions. Clara was a wonderful and sweet woman and I just want to thank her family for allowing us to care for Clara in her final years. It has been an honor to know her wonderful family as well. Always remember that Clara was brought into this world out of God's great love, she has gone to great love and her great love will always remain with those of us who were fortunate enough to have known her and had her in our lives. God bless you Clara...I will always love you and look forward to the time we meet again in heaven!##imported-begin##Tami Tufts##imported-end##
