Clarence C. Morgan, Jr.'s Obituary
Clarence C. Morgan, Jr., age 88, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016. He was born December 7, 1927 in Muskegon to Clarence and Anna Mae (DeFord) Morgan, Sr. Clarence was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and had worked for Shaw Walker for many years before retiring in 1986. Mr. Morgan was an avid Indy and Nascar fan and enjoyed working on automobiles at his home, snowplowing and traveling with family. On December 27, 1978 he married Norma Shanty in Nashville, TN and she survives him along with 4 children: Bonnie (Ron) Brinks of Franklin, IN, Donna (Jim) Dunbar of Ladoga, IN, Clarence R. Morgan, Audra (Richard) Copas both of Norton Shores; 3 step-children: Pam Estepp (Chris) of Howard City, MI, Brenda Briske (Skip), Scott Flint both of Muskegon; 17 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Clara Jo Hanley; step-son, Danny Beasley; brother, Charles Robert Morgan; and sister, Nancy Gene Morgan. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
