Like most kids I always got excited about going and staying at a relative's house.
then I would get so homesick. Except for the summer when I spent much of it at Aunt CB;s and Uncle Dan's house in Pennsylvania. Aunt CB was so accepting and loving to me....I was rarely homesick. (Of course the baseball field where all of Danny's friends came to practice didn't hurt.) But mostly it was Aunt CB. I remember when I realized we (Aunt CB and me) weren't actually related by blood. I couldn't believe it; she always seemed pure Schofield. She was Uncle Dan's bride, as he always referred to her, and truly one of a kind. I think they all had a party when she got there.

Aunt CB is tied to a good many of my childhood memories. I can still hear her say "Why, hello there, Candy girl" She was love in personhood and patient with us kids. I will miss her.

She was such a lady and was more than honored to be a Team Member when she was a Rectress in 1989....what a Christian lady and so kind....they were such a fun couple...my sympathies to the whole family....

I have so many wonderful of aunt CB. times out to the lake to watch boats come in from Lake Michigan out for lunch staying with her just to be able to talk for a few days. Really good times and I am going to miss her so much

It has been an honor to have known both Dan and Claribell over the years. My husband Dale [gone to Heaven , now] and I shared many hours w/ them as we put together the Muskegon Ultreya for the DeColores Community in the late 70's-early 80's. The humor, the wonderful input, the Faith we shared ,enriched all of us. To have a role model like Claribell made me want to be like he.,She had time for everyone, especially children.
She left the world a better place w. her endless love and goodness.
