It was an honor and privilege to have been able to share Sunday dinner with Clyde when he lived at Grand Pines in Grand Haven. His body may have been infirm, but his mind was as sharp as his wit. We shared many a laugh at some of his stories. One of the things Clyde seemed most proud of was his cooking skills. When my sister told me that Clyde had received his heavenly discharge, we felt comfort in the assurance that he finally found a place that served REAL mashed potatoes and good gravy. My prayers go out to you as you miss Clyde's physical presence in your life as well as my hope that you find comfort in the knowledge that some day you will be sharing those real mashed potatoes and good gravy with Clyde in Heaven.
